Website Changes

After much consideration, I decided to eliminate my website jenniepeakinphotography.com.  I will maintain this blog, however.  I was terrible at keeping the images on my website up to date and it was primarily to drum up more business from people searching for photographers on Google.  As of late, I have been so busy with referral business and the fact that we recently have started the adoption process of 2 more children that I can't fit in any extra business as it is!  With that in mind, the website will be deleted.  You can visit me here from now on!

Finally - Quad Cities Family Photographer

This may be the last time you see these adorable faces grace the pages of my photography blog. Not because I wouldn't love to photograph them each and every year, but because I may have pushed their mama over the edge with the uber long wait she had to endure to see these images! Finally, they are complete...just a few days short of a whole month since I took them! Eek! Missy was so sweet about having to wait, but it doesn't change the fact that I just feel awful about it!

Finally, a look at this gorgeous mommy and her 3 adorable children...

Someone commented on Facebook that Claire looks like a miniature Jennifer Garner...I would say that's a SPOT ON description!
I mean c'mon with those dimples!

And her twin sister, McKenna.
Loved photographing both of these beautiful girls just as much as I did a year ago!

And their big brother Brendan was as sweet as pie.  Really, he was such a trooper for a boy his age...never complained and did exactly what I asked!

He has got 2 gorgeous little sisters he'll be protecting for years to come.  Something tells me that they know they can count on him.

Let's get real for a minute though...this is what they REALLY look like when they're all together! :)
Might be one of my favorite shots of the bunch!  That super "real" moment...love it!

Thank you again, Missy for being so understanding during your long wait!
As usual, it was such a pleasure photographing you all!!!

Cool Kid - Quad Cities Family Photographer

Yes, this time, little Daniel was a "cool kid". As opposed to last year when I did his portraits in 195 degree weather. It is a photoshoot I will never forget doing...hottest photoshoot ever. We were all sweaty! This year it was a beautifully warm day and Daniel is always a sweet subject!

I was thrilled to get to shoot his mom and dad this year as well!
Sean worked with his mom is Clinton and that's how she found me to do Daniel's photographs.  We totally hit it off last year.  I feel like I've known her much more than just 2 short meetings!

I would say that Daniel was pretty proud to show off his Mommy and Daddy as well!

So much fun...great people...sweet kid.

Thank you for your patience in getting these pictures, guys!  With the unexpected chaos that ensued in our lives just after your shoot, I couldn't have asked for more understanding clients than you!
Same time next year? ;)

Villagers - Quad Cities Family Photographer

You know the saying, "It takes a village..."?
It's true...getting through life with 3 kids...2 with extra needs and moving into a new home and making it through each day alive...well, for us it takes a village.
Here are a few of our "villagers".
My brother-in-law, sister-in-law and my nieces.
The things they do to help us and their constant offering of help is often life saving for us.  We are SO BLESSED to call them family.
I love each one of them so much.

My niece Leah was just born like 2 years ago, so it's baffling to me that she's already 6.  I am not sure how that even happened...

And Kayla is hysterical...that's all there is to it.  She is too much, but yet I can't get too much of her!

These 2 are so different.
Leah is so tender hearted and sweet.  Truly, she understands things beyond her years.

And really, pictures speak louder than words sometimes...

This is Leah and Kayla in a nutshell.
I feel like this picture depicts each of their personalities so well!

So different, but love each other so much!

Yup, I am pretty blessed to have these 4 amazing people in my life.

We don't know how we'd make it without you guys!
Thank you and family portraits will have to do for now, but we will forever be indebted to you for helping us so much during this season of our lives!

Simply Gorgeous - Quad Cities Family Photographer

Yes, this family was just that...simply gorgeous.

And their 3 kids were all simply gorgeous and precious and fun to photograph!

They had 1 little princess in their brood and that is exactly what she was!  She was ALL GIRL!
And I must say, she was as beautiful as a princess and the boys were as handsome, obedient and sweet as little princes as well!
These are some truly amazing kiddos!

I have a feeling I know why they are so amazing...

Their Mommy and Daddy were equally as wonderful to work with and fun to photograph!
I love photographing couples that are so obviously in love. :)

Have you ever seen a more handsome 9 year old?!
9 is usually an awkard age it seems...this one has some good genes because there is certainly no awkwardness about him!

And just when you think that all of these 2 beautiful parents' good looking genes were given all to one child, this one show's his baby blues!

And then their little princess...curls and all!  You just don't get much more adorable than this!

Yup, so this family clearly has some amazingly gorgeous genes that they've divided amongst their children!  And the best part was that they were just as amazing on the inside as they are on the outside!

I have to pinch myself after every photoshoot.  It just can't be possible that I am blessed to meet so many amazing and gorgeous people, but it is.  It is possible!  And I love every minute of it!

Thank you Bachman Family!

Picture Perfect - Quad Cities Family Photographer

This family was a joy to spend an hour with the other day!
Clearly they are a gorgeous family, but not only were they gorgeous, but they were super easy to photograph!  The girls, Abby and Anna were the definition of angelic.  Really, it was quite something.  I need parenting lessons from Kate I think.  Little Anna is the same age as my oldest and I must say that her maturity level was leaps and bounds above my little guy's!  To say I was impressed by these girls would be an understatement!

This picture is enough to make me want 2 more children...daughters of course!

And these girls are pretty blessed I'd say!  Their parents John and Kate (which seriously makes me think they need 6 more kids so they can be PLUS 8...ha) were super fun, laid back, go with the flow type of people.  I think if I had asked them to roll down the hill for a picture, they would have!  I diddn't though, don't worry. :)

And their girls know just how amazing their Mom and Dad are...

Daddy love...

The girls of the family...this is one beautiful set of girls!

Anna was so sweet.  Oh my.  She was as sweet as she looks!  And by just the way she moved and posed, I knew immediately that she was a dancer.  She loved to pose and I could have photographed her all day long!

Abby was equally as fun to photograph!  It almost became a competition between the 2 on who could pose better.  And for the photographer, that was something I wasn't going to complain about!  Abby was so mature and outgoing...even though she was just getting over being quite sick, I never would have known if I hadn't been told!  She was a trooper!

Though obedient and cooperative, don't think I was unable to get some silliness and giggles out of these girls.  They were just too easy!
This family made my job so easy!  Even in the 90 degree heat, I didn't even have to break a sweat.
C'mon...could they be any more picture perfect?!

I don't think so, you just don't get anymore picture perfect than this!

Thank you John, Kate, Abby and Anna.
It was a pleasure to spend an hour with your wonderful family!

6 weeks NEW - Quad Cities Infant Photographer

I got to meet Sophia Grace just minutes after she arrived, got to take her pictures at 4 days old and now her 6 week pictures!  She is like family...my dear friends' 3rd daughter.  She is one special little girl in my eyes and many others eyes as well!  You'll be seeing a lot of her on here in the coming months and years, that's for sure!

And the ruffle butts?  They were my gift to her when she was born, so it goes without saying that I think she was quite stylish for this session! :)

And Baby Legs...c'mon!  You don't get much cuter than Baby Legs!!!

I love you Sweet Phi Phi and my camera does too!
