Meet 3 week old Wesley...

I can't even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed my time with this little man! And seriously, he looks like a little man!

That hair is just too much!

Little Wesley is the 4th child - the only boy. He is one ADORED little boy!

And how could he not be?! I mean, look at that face, that hair, those EYES!

Future basketball player maybe?!

And there's something so adorable about baby sneezes!

It was so much fun snuggling with this little man and he was quite the model! I believe I could have stayed at his home taking pictures of him for hours!

A New Look - Quad Cities Photographer

Have you noticed?! :)

I have a new watermark for my images. It needed a bit of a spruce up and I felt the need for something more simple. I may be craving simplicity in my life these days with all of the chaos that is going on!

That being said, we have gone through some wonderful personal changes in our family life which has caused me to feel the need to take a break from Jennie Peakin Photography for the next several months. It was decided in my head that Jennie Peakin Photography would 'close up shop' for the spring and possibly the summer as well. In my heart though, I just couldn't do it. I love this gig way too much!

So I devised a plan. I will have LIMITED openings throughout the next several months. I will make a schedule for myself a month or two out and email it to anyone who emails me requesting a session. I will book on a first come, first serve basis. If you don't get one of my openings or none of them work for you, I will email out the next schedule I create. I have a feeling this is how I will need to do things for the next several months.

Also, my price structure has changed a bit as well. I have a price list that I am happy to email to you if you are considering a session. Please don't hesitate to shoot me an email with any questions you may have!

I am so excited to get back behind the camera on a more regular basis - hope to see you soon!

a true miracle - Quad Cities Infant Photographer

The parents of this little man (who happen to be great friends of mine) have quite the story about what a miracle little Nile is.

My friend, Melissa has the same condition that I have which causes infertility. She dealt with infertility for years before she and her husband were blessed TWICE in one year with a daughter and a son through adoption. They waited mere days before being selected to be the parents of their first, and then were surprised and had a couple of weeks to prepare for the arrival of their 2nd. What they didn't know is that God had another surprise for them! They found out they were pregnant with their 3rd just over a year after adopting their first 2 blessings!

And here he is...at 8 weeks old.

Lora and her husband, James are bringing their 3rd daughter into this world in a few short weeks. I have the pleasure of being so close to this family that they are like my own family. I couldn't wait to do (round 1...yes, there is another round that will be taken shortly!) Lora's maternity photos! She is gorgeous...pregnant or not, but wow, she is probably the most gorgeous pregnant woman I have ever seen!

I love you so much, Lora and looking at these images brings tears to my eyes! I cannot wait to lay eyes on little Sophia and to start snapping pictures of her as soon as you'll let me! :)
