Sneak Peek - Cousins

These stunning children, I have the joy of calling nieces, nephews and son!
Oh how I love these faces...and seeing them together, well that's just icing on the cake.
And the new baby, Boone...all of his cousins are smitten, especially this one...

Sneak Peek - The Ava and Chloe Show

These two girls. They are frequent subjects of mine. Well, that is because I have the pleasure of calling their parents dear friends. And my camera loves these two!

I have a family session in the near future featuring these two beauties along with the two people who they clearly got their beauty from. They are a gorgeous family...you will see! In the meantime, for their parents, I thought I would share a few of the photos from our "impromptu session" we had at their home!

Ava, the oldest...

There is almost nothing more beautiful then the love between a mother and daughter.

Chloe - her spunk is overflowing...

Thank you for allowing me to smother your girls with my camera!

Welcome to Jennie Peakin Photography

Photography is always something I've been passionate about. From when I started high school, you would often found me behind the lens or in the darkroom developing my pictures.
I am beyond excited to make this passion my career...it is a dream come true!
My experience working behind the lens has always been a hobby. It has been a hobby that I have taken very seriously. Though my experience has not been "professional", I take all of the images I capture and treat them as they are...a memory, a moment in time that can be treasured for a lifetime.

When I became a mother myself, I struggled to get the images I wanted without capturing them myself. I prefer to take advantage of natural light to capture the best image possible.
I love capturing that sparkle in a child's eye, the loving gaze of a parent, the freshness of a brand new baby and all of their rolls and wrinkles. I believe that it's in the candid photographs that the true essence of a person is captured, not in the posed, forced smiles that are often captured in photographs. Because of this, I choose to photograph your family, your new baby or your children in a setting that is comfortable for you and for them...in your home or outdoors enjoying their time with me just being who they are, playing and running and laughing. I will be interactive with your child and take the time necessary to make them as comfortable with me as possible. My goal is not for your child to feel as though I am there to take their photo, but to feel as though I am there as a friend, someone to play with, have fun with, someone they are comfortable with. Whether your child is spunky and expressive or shy and quiet, I will capture who they are for you so that you will have an image that represents exactly how they were at that stage in their life.
